So what the hell is happening with Suburban Kids these days you might ask? Well a lot of things actually! We have signed to the american label Minty Fresh. We are determined to release a new EP at the end of the summer. The songs are starting to mold and shape as we speak. The record simply named #3 will finally be released in UK and Ireland and a kind of "best of" EP will be released at the same time. Maybe we will do a couple of shows in the UK during this. That picture is taken before our show in Bologna. That same day we did a radioshow called polaroidallaradio where we performed two songs live. One of them was the really old song "Stockholm Water Festival". You can listen to them at polaroid.blogspot.com

So the gig today 30/5 in munich got cancelled due to some smartpants who like to steal windows from swedish hardworking bands. But that gives me the opportunity to finally sit down and write something about this crazy thing called touring. This is my first major tour being away from home for more than a week. It all started up with us being the support act for Belle and Sebastian during theire scandinavian tour which was pretty nice and it was good getting the feeling of being noone for a while again. We all need to be kicked like that some times. It was a great and at the same time strange experience playing all those big venues with catering,tour managers,promotion extra important persons and so on. Some of our gigs were good some of them were worser. My favorite moment on the B&S tour though was probably the show in Rockefeller in Oslo and the last show in Copenhagen. At that time we had really started to understand and work the Belle and Sebastian engineers. We had a really stressfull time just before the gig too with booking agency related trouble/finding somewhere to sleep but i think that just made us stronger and when it was time for our thirty minutes of fame in Copenhagen we really didnt care about anything. I think we all were a little happy the scandinavian tour was over and the start of the European tour was on the horizon. That is a different story though that i don´t have the time to start digging into now. I´ll get back to that as soon as time will let me.

A couple of months ago we got a mail from a guy called Brendan from San Diego. He wanted to make a video for the song "Parakit" from our debut album #3, but the other people involved in the project were not too enthusiastic bout that so they choose to make a video of "Rent A Wreck" instead.

We already have a video of that one but i think this one is a really really nice high school video project!

Well Hamburg was fantastic and there are so many nice people to thank for this Andreas, Pamela, Jens, Kathy, Bjorn and all the other fantastic people that somehow was involved with Three Cheers for Our Side. Language of Flowers were the best people in the world and really good at making Karaoke classics come alive at the Thai Karaoke Bar.

SKWBNSVMK4EVER Efter rykten i dagspressen om kastade ölglas och osämja mellan SVMK och SKWBN vill vi klargöra händelseförloppet i detta brutala popbråk. Bråket startade på Debaser förra onsdagen och gällde i huvudsak Soft Rock begreppet. Öl dracks, men kastades aldrig. I tisdags satt vi i nära fyra timmar och alla fick säga sitt, under mer ordnade former. Det ritades mind maps, vi ventilerade och vi respekterade varandras åsikter. Suburban Kids och Svenska Musikklubben står nu varandra närmare än någonsin.

Today the sun shines and im writing in English. Last week we were in England doing two rather punky gigs with sleping on floors and eating punky food. I had a really nice time in both Brighton at The Ballroom and London at The Windmill.
